Fire at NASCAR Star Denny Hamlin’s Parents’ Home: What We Know So Far
A house fire broke out near Stanley on Blacksnake Road.
The parents of NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin were hospitalized after a house fire in Gaston County, North Carolina.
Fire broke out at a home on Blacksnake Road northeast of Stanley. One person was initially believed to be trapped in the home, according to officials. At the end of the day, two person were transported to a hospital. Their condition was not released.
A fire has completely destroyed the home, according to the Lucia-Riverbend Fire Department. A lack of water caused the fire to take two hours to extinguish.
Officials in Gaston County said the investigation will continue into Monday.
David Toomey, chief of the Lucia-Riverbend Fire Department, said the home belongs to Denny Hamlin’s parents.
The home appears to be owned by a company managed by Hamlin, according to public records.
Hamlin hasn’t commented yet.
A number of Gaston County fire departments responded to the area to assist Lucia-Riverbend Fire Department.
